Fuel Reduction Initiative

The Carbon/Fuel Reduction Initiative (CFRI) encourages staff members at the Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society to find alternative methods of transporting themselves to and from the Zoo without driving their personal vehicles alone. Before the CFRI, the Zoo had 87 full/part time staff members burning 13,600 gallons of fuel per year. The mission of the Palm Beach Zoo is to inspire people to act on behalf of wildlife. Every day, the training department puts on two animal shows that relate to this message. Dingo’s ear treatment

He was extremely sensitive, and did not allow his keepers to clean or treat the ear when they discovered it.
